Twin Songs Records (later Twin Songs Music) was formed in 1996, as a vehicle for producing and releasing the album Songs Arriving Late, by the band One Week in April. That project—and the band itself—was planned as a one-time occurrence, but as four of the members continued performing and recording together, The Naked April was formed from that core, and Twin Songs Records continued producing and releasing those records, as well as those of the band members' other projects (e.g. Winter Storm Warning, by Kent Rytting and Nick Bennett, The Heart and the Hip, by Shane Duncan).
The most recent album by The Naked April—also the most recent release from Twin Songs Music—was Design Flaw, in 2009. While there are no releases planned for the near future, the members of The Naked April, and their friends, are still making music together when they can—so future releases are virtually inevitable.
